02 / RESEARCH & METHOD

PUBLIC EDITION

Make the question clear.
Then make the answer accountable.

This page records the scaffolding of method, not a list of unverified results. Specific topics and data remain private.

A question is not decoration. It decides what you can see.

A workable research question usually states its object, the source of evidence, the conditions under which a claim holds, and the explanations not yet ruled out. The clearer the question, the less likely data work and model choice become “answer first, evidence later”.

WORKING NOTES
01

Where evidence comes from

Separate primary data, secondary compilations, and interpretive material. Record versions, definitions, and missingness—not only the final table.

02

Can the method be reviewed?

Write assumptions, variables, sample choices, and model choices as a path someone else could retrace. Mark the parts that cannot be reproduced.

03

Where the conclusion stops

Distinguish “supported by data”, “working explanation”, and “still untested”. Do not turn correlation into causation or a single result into a stable rule.

Specific topics remain private.

What is public here is thinking about method, not a research archive. Papers, data, unpublished results, and specific topics are not made public simply because this page exists.

Pending: publishable research topics / papers or projects / actual scope of methods and tools used
